Monk teaPosted by kylie (Shanghai, China) on 3 October 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. On our first day in Wuyishan we paid a visit to the original Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe) tea trees, the 400 year old trees that are said to be the ancestors of all the tea trees in the Wuyishan area. From there we found a narrow winding path, which we followed until we came to an old and very run down wooden temple. The monk at this temple was happy to meet with us and invited us to take tea with him while he gave us a history of the temple and the teas of the area. For Nicholas, who predicted today's image would be tea related... ;-)
